About the Foundation

The Mike Fedele Legacy Foundation was created to honor a man with a big personality, who left an even bigger hole in the lives and hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.

Michael had an extraordinary love for animals, and they loved him right back. He was convinced every dog he met would immediately fall in love with him, and he was rarely wrong about it. From his parents' beloved Snickers to the rescued ducks at their pond that answered his quacks, he truly had a special connection with animals.

Through this foundation, that love lives on.

Why We Exist

To ensure financial limitations never determine an animal's comfort, care, or dignity.

Every animal deserves proper care, compassion, and the chance to live comfortably, regardless of age, medical needs, or adoptability.

Unfortunately, rescues and shelters are often faced with impossible financial decisions. An animal may need emergency surgery, ongoing treatment, rehabilitation, or simply the care necessary to live out its remaining days comfortably.

We believe decisions about an animal's care should be guided by its needs and well-being — never by financial limitations.

What We Do

We provide financial assistance to animal rescues, shelters, and foster networks to help cover the cost of essential veterinary and quality-of-life care.

Our priorities include:

Emergency medical care:

Helping rescues manage unexpected veterinary expenses and urgent treatment.

Senior and hospice animals:

Supporting comfort, pain management, and compassionate end-of-life care.

Special-needs animals:

Helping fund rehabilitation, mobility assistance, and ongoing medical needs.

Overlooked animals:

Supporting animals whose age, condition, or medical expenses might otherwise limit their opportunities for care.

We primarily serve Montgomery County, Bucks County, and surrounding Pennsylvania communities.

Our focus is working directly with established rescues, shelters, foster networks, and veterinary partners. Assistance for individual pet owners may be considered in select circumstances, particularly when connected with a rescue organization.

How We Approach Our Mission

Our foundation is guided by compassion, loyalty, genuine love for animals, and the belief that every life deserves dignity.

We value the people doing the difficult, often thankless work of animal rescue. Our goal is to be a dependable source of support when resources are stretched and an animal needs help.

We believe in practical assistance, thoughtful decisions, and treating every animal as worthy of care — not just those with the easiest path to adoption.

Keeping His Spirit Alive

Michael left behind more laughter, stories, and unforgettable memories than we could ever count.

This foundation is our way of keeping that spirit alive while making a real difference for animals and the people who care for them.

We don't deserve dogs.

We'll never be able to give them everything they deserve. The love, loyalty, and happiness they bring into our lives are impossible to repay. But we can do everything in our power to make sure the lives they have are as good as they can possibly be.

That's what the Mike Fedele Legacy Foundation is here to do.

Dogs never live long enough. Neither did Mike.

So while we can't give them more time, we can do our best to make the time they have count.
